“Texas is an important part of the Schwab family, and we’re glad to put another stake in the ground here. We’re very optimistic about where we’re headed as a company and our future here in Texas.” Charles Schwab, Founder, Charles Schwab

While the Dallas-Fort Worth area was already on the company’s radar, Charles Schwab Corporation announced in 2019 that it would purchase TD Ameritrade, and it would be bringing the fruits of the $26 billion deal to its new Westlake campus. This merger signaled massive growth potential for the financial sector in the North Texas region, where several companies have already established headquarters. Charles Schwab Corporation looks to double its campus size to accommodate new workers in the coming years, cementing its commitment to the region.

As of February 2020, more than 2,000 individuals are employed at the campus. The new waterfront facilities will eventually have capacity for more than 6,000 in four different buildings. The buildings are designed to prioritize high sustainability standards, including LEED certification. Once fully open, it will present a huge boost for Westlake and the entire Dallas-Fort Worth region, which is quickly drawing companies from across the nation.
