TxEDC connects a network of business leaders to drive economic development in the state, led by Governor-appointed members of the TxEDC Board of Directors. To further our commitment to regional business leaders, TxEDC holds regional business summits throughout the year in various communities across Texas to encourage networking and growth. Our statewide network is made up of community leaders that make our state successful and strong as a whole.

Expand the state's presence with national and international Trade Visits.
TxEDC spearheads world-class national and international trade visits to market Texas in key business locations throughout the U.S. and across the globe. Our program of trade visits and events includes establishing a robust presence at key U.S.-based trade shows, as well as abroad in international markets. Within the past few years alone, TxEDC has traveled to Cuba, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, and other countries to spread the word internationally about Texas business advantages.
Elevate and Promote Economic Growth of existing business and regions throughout Texas.
As an established leader in innovation, Texas is working hard to attract and meet the needs of businesses across industries by embracing innovative solutions. To ensure that Texas stays competitive, TxEDC provides strategic assistance to Governor Abbott to elevate and promote economic growth of existing business and regions throughout Texas.
Another strategy used by TxEDC to spread awareness of economic growth throughout the state is our “Just One Thing” e-newsletter series. Many of our e-newsletters highlight new business growth or expansions in communities across Texas, generating interest in these regions among site selectors and potential investors.
