The TxEDC Investor Summit: Texas Takeover – America’s New Financial Hub was recently held at Circle T Ranch, courtesy of Proud TxEDC Investor, Hillwood, A Perot Company and its Chairman, Ross Perot, Jr. The summit brought together business leaders, elected officials, and global investors for a day of insightful conversations and powerful connections that underscored Texas’ position as the nation’s premier financial state.
A New Financial Era for Texas
The morning sessions featured high-level discussions with leaders from Nasdaq, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Texas Stock Exchange, as well as panels on venture capital, private equity, family offices, and Texas’ leading banks. The clear takeaway: Texas isn’t just competing with other states—it’s setting the pace for the future of finance in America.
The day concluded with a fireside chat between Governor Greg Abbott and Glenn Hamer, President & CEO of the Texas Association of Business. Governor Abbott highlighted Texas’ booming economy, record-setting number of Fortune 500 headquarters, and the state’s unmatched appeal for small businesses. He emphasized that Texas embodies the modern American Dream by creating opportunities and ensuring a stronger future for generations to come.
“Texas has earned its place as the financial hub of America,” Governor Abbott said, pointing to the Dallas–Fort Worth region’s role in driving investment and innovation while reaffirming the state’s commitment to cutting red tape and supporting businesses of all sizes.
State and Business Leaders United
The summit welcomed a distinguished lineup of leaders from government and business who are shaping Texas’ economic future. Key participants included Arun Agarwal, TxEDC Board Chairman and Nextt CEO, Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of the Governor’s Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office, and Aaron Demerson TxEDC President & CEO.
