(LUBBOCK) – The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA) announced that Monsanto, one of the world’s largest sustainable agriculture companies, is expanding their Lubbock operations to include a new cotton seed processing facility. The company will invest $140 million into building and equipping the new state-of-the-art facility, the largest capital investment project announced since LEDA’s inception.
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott will lead a business development mission to Israel and Switzerland from Monday, January 18th through Friday, January 22nd, 2016. Governor Abbott’s trip will focus on increasing foreign direct investment in Texas. During the trip, the Governor will tour businesses, hold meetings with public officials and business executives in both countries, and participate at the World Economic Forum in Davos. This will be Governor Abbott’s third international business development trip since taking office.
AUSTIN - Governor Greg Abbott today announced that CGT U.S. Limited will construct a new manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. CGT anticipates creating at least 275 jobs and $80 million in capital investment in the State of Texas. The project will reshore part of the company’s manufacturing from China and increase North American capacity. A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant offer of $2 million has been extended to CGT.
