Governor Abbott Mission to Japan with TxEDC | September 2019

In September 2019, TxEDC traveled to Japan with Governor Abbott for a business development mission to strengthen ties between Texas and Japan, and to encourage Japanese companies to Go Big in Texas.

During the mission, Governor Abbott took part in meetings and tours with major companies, including Toyota Motor Corporation, Aisin Seki Co. and Aisin AW, Central Japan Railway Company, Hitachi, Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. In addition, Governor Abbott met with Japanese officials, including Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, Governor Hideaki Ohmura of Aichi Prefecture, U.S. Consul General of Osaka-Kobe Karen Kelley and Japanese Ambassador of Kansai Jota Yamamoto.
