Angelina College is a community college enrolling more than 5,000 students in automotive technology, welding, business, computer science, engineering and surgical technology programs.

Stephen F. Austin State University is a public university enrolling nearly 13,000 students across 120 majors and areas of study, including biotechnology, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, international business and more.

Connected By Air, Rail And Road

Multimodal infrastructure moves people and goods within, to and from Texas Forest Country.

Angelina County Airport, located seven miles from Lufkin, has two runways. A.L. Mangham Jr. Regional Airport provides services such as aircraft fueling and maintenance for the local and transient flying public. In addition, Texas Forest Country is 100 miles from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and 187 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), and within two hours of the Port of Houston and Port Arthur.

Class I rail service is well established and readily available in Texas Forest Country.

US-59 (the future I-69 Interstate Highway) is a dual lane, divided highway running north-south and, when complete, will be a continuous corridor from Mexico to Canada.
